Prince is a genius, easily the most talented musician of his generation. So I am very excited about this.
But every pro has its con, and the horrific ligging going on at Prince’s ‘secret’ gig at Koko last week has been detailed minutely – and very entertainingly – by blogger extraordinaire Ochmonek.

Prince falls into that tiny category of artists and bands who I respect immensely and wish I liked more, but just can't quite get into at that visceral *love* level.
I wish someone would release a 'Prince: the Funky Ones' compilation. Perhaps with Purple Rain as bonus ballad track.
As a starter, check out Soft and Wet, and I Feel For You. If they don't grab you by the viscera, nothing will.
